Orlando Rivera is the Founder & Director of VR Spaces (est. 2011), an AI & XR studio building AI-powered learning tools — including StoryTime, an AI-assisted storytelling and literacy platform for classrooms, and an AI interview-practice tool that prepares students for real hiring conversations — built with agentic AI at production scale. Across JPMorgan Chase, IBM Watson, AT&T, QVC, BMG, E&Y, and Canela Media, he led teams of 3 to 30, shipped apps to the Apple, Google, and Meta stores, and helped build the backend for AT&T’s 2006 Masters live stream. He teaches what he builds: five AI courses at Adrian College, and the game design and motion graphics curriculum he designs at Berkeley College; previously Tufts, Pratt Institute, and Montclair State. He holds an M.A. in Art and Technology (University of Oklahoma) and a BFA in Film and Animation (SVA).

Maria T. Rivera is a strategic learning architect and education leader with 20+ years across Fortune 500 companies, universities, and professional-service organizations — spanning management, technology training, project management, web development, and video production. She is Director of Continuing Education and Professional Development at Berkeley College and an Education Consultant for VR Spaces. Previously, she was Associate Director at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, leading its graduate Management & Systems / Project Management and Management & Technology continuing-education programs, with a leadership role at Baruch College’s (CUNY) Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute. She designed and teaches an Immersive Media (VR/AR) course for NYUSPS’s Tisch Institute of Global Sport, and serves as President of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of ATD.
